KTS (Key Telephone Systems)
Key Telephone System, or KTS, is the term given to small to medium sized systems which start at 1 phone line and 2 telephone extensions and expand up to 12 lines and 36 telephones extensions. Around 70% of businesses use a KTS style system making it the most common style of system installed. DELTACOMM has a range of KTS systems to suit most applications.

PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange)
A PABX system traditionally uses a dedicated operator's console and staff or hotel guests, dial "0" to get an outside line before making a call. PABX telephone systems cater for the medium to large system market starting from where the KST products finish at around 12 Lines and 36 Phones and can expand to up to 40,000 Lines & Phones. Around 15% of businesses use a PABX style of system. DELTACOMM maintains a large number of PABX systems some with over 900 telephone extensions.

KTS / PABX "Hybrid" systems
With improvements in technology Hybrid systems have evolved and are a combination of both main styles of telephone system, KTS and PABX (see above). Both styles of systems have their respective advantages which mean these Hybrid systems offer a more flexible and cost effective solution in some applications.

Telephone Accessories
DELTACOMM has a range of telephone accessories designed to enhance the operation of any business telephone system. Telephone accessories such as basic single line phones, Answering Machines, Headsets and Advertising on hold units.

ACD (Automated Call Distribution)
An ACD system will evenly distribute incoming calls between a group of staff to ensure all callers are answered promptly and efficiently.

VM & AA (VoiceMail & Automated Attendant)
Voicemail operates from each system telephone extension with users being able to customise their own voice message, just like a mobile phone. These Voicemail systems however are far more advanced and easier to use. Automated Attendant is related to Voicemail but is the process by which a caller can have their calls transferred to a particular system extension by dialling a pre-set number. Used on busy systems where the operator can’t answer the call within a desired time, the system answers it with a greeting and giving the caller options like “Dial 1 for Sales, Dial 2 for Service or please hold.”

CAAB (Call Accounting and Billing)
Some clients want to keep track of staff telephone calls and charges. CAAB products allow clients to do this and provide a number of reports, some of these include; Calls by Extension, Calls by Department, Most common dialled Numbers, and Call Costs by Extension and/or Department. These are but a few of the reports available with over 50 reports available with some packages.
